Осень

Огненная, буйная,
По-шумному веселая,
И немного грустная,
Осень ветродуйная.

Осень листопадная,
То шумная, то тихая,
Величаво-молчаливая,
Аловодопадная.

Осень сплошь багряная,
Узорная, нарядная,
Осень златогривая,
Сердито-незлобливая.

Лишь слегка печальная,
Солнечно-дождливая,
Грустная, прощальная,
Осень ярколистная,
Осень слезливая...

Всегда хоть чуть печальная,
Тоскливая, прощальная,
Осень томная, слезливая...

The New Year Is Coming!

The New Year is coming!
Let it into your house!
...The children are playing and laughing,
A mouse is scratching about in the house,
The cat is sitting at the window,
The dog is playing with the children,
The snowflakes are slowly dancing...
the New Year is coming!

The Charming Winter

Oh, the charming winter! First there comes the cold,
Then you see the grass covered with the hoar-frost...
At last, the snow, brighter than the brightest gold,
Sparkles like some frosty diamonds... You feel the frost

Licking severely your unprotected cheeks.
The clouds run across the sky like tiny creeks,

Bright shines the sun, blue is the sky, light are the clouds,
Beautifully glitters the white snow...
And you feel happy, you're glad, you cry out loud:
"The winter's come! See--here's the first snow!"

And there are times when sleepy's everything around,
When you can see no movement, when you can hear no sound,
And snow-covered are the sleeping trees...
It's in winter when I awake my memories.
